Ethiopia Airlines plane skyjacked, 82 passengers were flying to Malpensa

The first destination of the skyjacked plane in Geneva by one of the pilots was Fiumicino, but nearly half of passengers had to go on to the same flight up to the Milanese stop over. Pullman transfer in progress.

 Anomalous diversion of the Ethiopian flight from Addis Abeba to Fiumicino and Malpensa: from this morning news about the flight coming from the African capital, which was skyjacked in Geneva by the co-pilot, are going on. The transcontinental flight of the Ethiopian Airlines was going, first of all, to Fiumicino, but among 193 passengers (138 Italians), 82 had Malpensa as final destination. For this reason, this morning in the stopover at the heathland the conduct plan of the crisis was started, involving the police, the head of the police administration, Francesco Messina and the airport authorities, including the Sea airport manager.  The passengers that are in Geneva will come to Malpensa in the evening with a pullman that left around 3:00 pm.

The skyjacking had the co-pilot of the plane protagonist, and the captain tried to oppose his plan, in the opinion of the passengers. According to the news spread by the Swiss Press, the co-pilot wanted asylum in Switzerland, the flight was seized above Sicily and convoyed also by fighter aircraft, which left from Gioia del Colle.

In Malpensa were diverted two others flights from Geneva: one Abu Dahabi-Geneva of Eithad Airways and the other one was of the United Airlines, always a flight with Geneva as destination
