Youth unemployment. Varese and Mantua are the worst provinces

In Lombardy, the rate of youth unemployment, that is, unemployment affecting those aged between 15 and 29 years, has fallen (18.7%). This improvement mirrors the trend in other provinces, including Como, Pavia, Bergamo, Cremona and Lecco, where youth unemployment is between 14% and 16%.

The exceptions are the provinces of Mantua and Varese, where youth unemployment has reached 24%. Lombardy is doing better than the Italian average (28.4%). (Source: Chamber of Commerce of Milan, on ISTAT 2016 and Eurostat 2015 data)
