250 more workers <\/span><\/b>could be left without a job<\/b> soon. In a matter of weeks, the situation will be settled. Things are already tragic in the Saronno area and this situation only adds to the Ims <\/u>and Anofi-Aventis<\/u> problems. This time the company we’re talking about is Anovo Italia<\/b>, <\/span>situated on the Saul Banfi Road, Saronno: on Monday, 253 employees<\/b> decided to leave the workplace for an hour-long protest<\/b>, after receiving an informal communication from the syndicates that had met the owners of the main company on Friday. The risk is that, after the declaration of bankruptcy of the Italian base, all of the workers may be left without a job in a few weeks time. <\/span><\/p>\n Anovo is the new Fimi<\/span><\/b>: it deals with technological repairs<\/b>. Anovo is a French company with 5,400 employee in Europe<\/b>, and 253 based in Italy. The last orders that Saronno received were from Sky<\/b>, for decoder repairs, but the company <\/span>also specialises in computer repairs for Hp<\/b>, cellphone repairs and technological materials for various shopping centres<\/b>. A field that wasn’t in crisis<\/b> and the Anovo company itself had a balanced budget, as the syndicates say: "All in all, even though the company had suffered some drops, it had always managed to go on” explains Valentino Ceriani<\/b> from Cisl. “For the French Anovo Sa company<\/b> it was a different matter. In July the said company registered a large financial deficit, which led to a temporary receivership<\/b>, and the trustee in bankruptcy set a time limit for the interested buyers that wanted to make <\/span>take over offers<\/b>. While valuing the offers received, the trustee took into consideration the Butler Capital<\/b> one, that didn’t include saving the Italian and Swiss companies<\/b>". <\/span><\/p>\n To sum it up, the French company had huge debts with the Italian factory. Debts that after the bankruptcy, they couldn’t afford to pay<\/b>. "This lead to a huge financial problem, and to the declaration of bankruptcy of Anovo Italia” continues Ceriani ”,and now we have 253 families that risk to lose their job in few weeks<\/b>".<\/span><\/p>\n The crisis of the company also concerns 300 more workers in the whole of Europe <\/b>scattered in various establishments. The most tragic situation is precisely in Saronno. "The only thing needed is the official communication for the company” concludes Ceriani. “We’re waiting for the practical act, and then on Tuesday we’ll be in Rome for a meeting with the Department of Economics and Developmen<\/b>t. There isn’t a lack of work in this field, and so we’re working in order to extend as much as possible the potential social shock absorbers". <\/span><\/p>\n There doesn’t seem to be much hope, but there still may be some way out<\/b>: "There isn’t a lack of work in this field, even if the options for giving work to the employees are getting slimmer and slimmer.
