Ruth viene da Brooklyn, New York. La Grande Mela. Dove si incontrano etnie, culture, idee che si mischiano continuamente tra loro e dove la musica assume mille sfaccettature diverse. Ruth \u00e8 cresciuta l\u00ec, fra i dischi di <b>Bob Dylan<\/b> (che ha personalmente conosciuto), Woodie Guthrie, Joni Mitchell, Led Zeppelin, Rem. E da cui \u00e8 partita con il suo primo disco, del 1994, &quot;Very Live&quot;. L&#8217;esordio \u00e8 stato cos\u00ec apprezzato che nel &#8217;97 ha inciso il suo secondo cd, &quot;Fools and Kings&quot;. Un lavoro bellissimo in cui ha messo la zampa DON DIXON (R.E.M.), uno degli inventori del &quot;sound&quot; alternativo. Ruth ha una voce bellissima, soprano. Le sue canzoni dai testi tutt&#8217;altro che scontati hanno una luce, un movimento che le rende irresistibili. Il rock di cui \u00e8 testimone \u00e8 fluido, orecchiabile ma non di maniera. E&#8217; muscoloso, agile, ma anche introspettivo, discreto. Nonostante abbia soltanto venticinque anni Ruth ha alle spalle gi\u00e0 collaborazioni prestigiose. Come artista di supporto ha aperto i concerti di Hootie &amp; the Blowfish, Dave Matthews band, <b>Huey Lewis<\/b>, Roger Mc Guinn. Ha diviso il palco anche con jazzisti come Stanley Jordan, a testimonianza della <br \/>sua versatilit\u00e0. Ha girato il mondo con la regina della &quot;disco&quot; <b>Gloria Gaynor<\/b>. Con lei Ruth era chitarrista, pianista, corista. Si \u00e8 diplomata alla High School of Performing Arts e laureata alla Princeton University specializzandosi in esistenzialismo ebraico. La stampa statunitense da tempo tesse le lodi di questa newyorkese che oltre ad essere brava ed intelligente ha anche il non piccolo vantaggio di essere molto carina.
