The 5-year-old from Cardano al Campo is affected by an extremely rare chromosomal disease.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNicol\u00f2\u2019s disease doesn\u2019t even have a name,\u201d said his mother, Elena, who also has two other children. \u201cI contacted Telethon more than a year ago. <strong>Last year, we took part in the television marathon<\/strong>, and this year, they\u2019ve asked us to participate in the video \u2018<strong>Adotta il futuro, regala una speranza a queste famiglie<\/strong>\u2019 (Adopt the future, give hope to these families).\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Telethon and the <strong>fund-raising will go on until 20 December<\/strong>. On <strong>19th and 20th<\/strong>, <strong>there will be volunteers present in many Italian piazzas<\/strong>, raising awareness and asking for help for the research.<\/p>\n<p>In <strong>Cardano al Campo<\/strong>, Elena has worked to promote a stand <strong>outside the \u201cMunari\u201d Kindergarten<\/strong> on the 16, 17 and 18 December, in the afternoon, to sell chocolate hearts. On 19 and 20 December, she will be <strong>in Piazza Mazzini, with the Telethon gazebo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s difficult,\u201d Elena explained. \u201cEvery day, you see situations that are even more difficult than yours. <strong>Every day, I\u2019m thankful that my son is happy and joyful and that he can walk<\/strong>.
