The <b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight:normal\">spending review<\/b>, on the one hand, and the <b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight:normal\">unbridled increase in medical-legal cases<\/b> are putting the work on the wards &hellip; and in the delivery room, in crisis.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"font-family:Arial\">This is why <b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight:normal\">medical personnel have said they will strike on 12 February<\/b>. And so, for one day, there will be no births, medical examinations or surgical operations. &ldquo;Of course, <b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight:\nnormal\">all emergencies will be guaranteed<\/b>,&rdquo; explained <b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight:\nnormal\">Prof. Fabio Ghezzi<\/b>, a gynaecologist at the Del Ponte Hospital, &ldquo;but the strike is over very important issues, so most of the staff will be taking part.&rdquo;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"font-family:Arial\">The strike will be one <b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight:normal\">more of inaction than action<\/b>, as all planned examinations and non-urgent tests and operations will be suspended. &ldquo;Any necessary tests will also be done,&rdquo; assures<b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight:\nnormal\"> the Head Physician of the hospital in Busto Arsizio, Paolo Beretta<\/b>, &ldquo;but for everything else, patients will have to ask for another appointment. We can&rsquo;t put up with the situation any more.
