Twenty four beds: the Insubria college selects its first guests

The new college at Insubria University will soon be welcoming its first guests. On 29 January, the university published the notification for applications for the 24 beds, thereby opening the building that was inaugurated last October by the Research Minister, Francesco Profumo. Applications for the rooms (single bedrooms, of which 6 have been equipped for disabled people) must be made following the indications in the notification, and must be received by 15 February 2013. The accommodation for students, but also for scholarship holders and those on research grants, will be available from 1 March to 31 July 2013. The university has set a rent of €250 per month, with a deposit, for stays of over one month, of €300.

“This is an important step, and we’re glad to see the start of this important service,” said Patrick Tayoun, the student representative on the governing council. “They’re starting in March with the first 24 beds, and the others will be allocated by the end of September. With this accommodation, Insubria is increasing and strengthening its presence in the area. We are now looking forward to other projects, such as a sports campus, which will provide additional space for students at the university."
