In Glocalnews, the Regional Council becomes social

Lombardy Regional Council enters the social network world, starting from Glocal12, Varese festival dedicated to on-line local journalism, organized by Varesenews.

Three days to debate and think about how the Net is changing the world of information, how social media, Internet and many and innovative web communication possibilities have already become very important in editorial panorama, also involving institutional subjects.

Just like Lombardy Regional Council , which during 15-17 November Varese festival will start the path on the road of the revolution 2.0 that will bring us to Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

The event “Glocal-news, three days of local and global journalism” is in programme for the 15-year celebrations of VareseNews. Also the Lombardy Regional Council, together with the main Italian press and online newspapers that gathered together in the Anso (National association of online press), will participate at the initiative which also involves the organisation of a digital journalism laboratory – BlogLab – dedicated to the Secondary School students and Italian and Swiss-Italian university students.

“The Lombardy Region Assembly,” underlines the President of the Regional Council in Lombardy, “has always been particularly attentive to the world of online newspapers, in fact our institute has been the first among those that are the most activate and representative with various regional newspapers,  aware of the importance of reaching the institutional journalism news that is always more and more citizen-led. The event organised by Varesenews is for us,” adds Cecchetti, “the opportunity to take a more reflective discussion with important entities of the sector and to launch and present the birth of the Regional Council 2.0, with a strong presence on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter. The web is participation, so the Regional Parliament of Lombardy could only – also here carving out an important space in an institutional panorama that still, pays little attention to the the web – be one of the leaders in being open to new technologies and at lunch, for transparency and involvement, the new editorials”.

 La rete è partecipazione, dunque il parlamento regionale della Lombardia non poteva – anche qui ricavandosi un importante spazio in un panorama istituzionale ancora poco attento al web – che essere tra i primi ad aprirsi alla novità e a lanciare, nel segno della trasparenza e del coinvolgimento, le sue novità editoriali».
