Saturday 19 ͭ ͪ and Sunday 20 ͭ ͪ December the Panperduto embankment will transform into Santa Claus village, complete with elves, street markets and a walk that from the Maddalena suburb will end up in the suggestive setting on the shores of the Ticino and Villoresi Canal.
The appointment is set on Saturday 19 ͭ ͪ December, from 1 o’clock to 6 o’clock, and Sunday 20 ͭ ͪ December, from 10 o’clock to 18 o’clock, precisely from the sports field of the Maddalena Sommese suburb, from where will leave the free passenger shuttles or, optionally, the walk in the company of the “elves” going to Panperduto.

Christmas in Panperduto is going to be the first of a series of events that focus on an area, which until recently is dispatched to the sorting system of waters in a basin of great touristic appeal. In fact, the whole area has been just redeveloped thanks to huge investments of the Est Ticino Villoresi Consortium and the events of the next weekend and it is going to start the road map for the in grand style inauguration of the hostel of Museo delle Acque Italo-Svizzere (Museum of the Italian and Swiss Waters), and of the new touristic navigation system that is going to take place in Spring.
Orizzonte-Eventi and Ester production are going to deal with the management of the whole touristic pole, that won the announcement of management which has just ended. “The idea of this first Christmas event is an experiment”, explained Renato Zocchi of Orizzonte eventi. “It comes from our experience that is grown thanks to the Christmas Village of Milan and it aims to repeat the success in Somma Lombardo. This year is going to last only two days but our idea is to make it last longer next year, especially seeing the good job done also by the associations of Somma Lombardo.
