Sannino sits on the “golden bench”

Beppe Sannino, the so called football miner, from today, has a special place to sit: his fellow trainers, indeed, gave him the most important award for technicians, the “Golden Bench”. News has come today – Monday 7^th February – from the Coverciano technical centre, where winners from different divisions of the past sporting year have been communicated.

Sannino gained the award for the First Division thanks to the extraordinary ride that brought Varese back to the B Division 25 years after the last first division championship: an enterprise that has been considered even greater than the direct promotions of Novara and Portogruaro (technicians Tesser and Calori), that rewards a career which has been, up to now, normal, but rich in promotions.

Furthermore Sannino’s name goes with José Mourinho’s one, who won the “golden bench” for Division A, thanks to the triple win with Inter; also Pierpaolo Bisoli for the Division B (promotion for the maximum league with Cesena) and Giancarlo Favarin of Lucchese for the Second Division were awarded. Even the special award, that was given to Alberto Zaccheroni for the recent win in the Asia Cup leading Japan, enriches with importance the line crossed by Sannino.
