Cesare Cremonini: “A new album under the pillow and the anticipation of the tour”
The singer from Bologna presents his new album "Più che Logico Live" with four new songs. In October kicks off the tour

“I’m living this moment with great enthusiasm.” For Cesare Cremonini the adventure of “Logico” is not over. A year away from an album and a successful tour, the singer from Bologna has a new project that seems to be the natural evolution of the path that led him to be what he is today. “How do I feel? I’m exactly where I want to be, and it is a great fortune” Cremonini said during the presentation to journalists of “Più che Logico Live and Tour”. “I am happy to present this project that has something ‘extra’, the title is not accidental. I put inside a piece of me, of my story and I hope that this is felt. ”
“PIU’ CHE LOGICO LIVE”
From today, you can find in the store “Più che Logico Live”, a double live album and four new unpublished tracks that have nothing to do with a nostalgic operation. On the contrary. Cesare Cremonini presents another piece of his artistic career, anticipating what will be in future songs but “embracing” the songs from that album, “Logico”, which consolidated years of effort and work. “As I was writing these songs I realized that I was giving something new. They are songs that have the idea of opening a window on what I want for the future. If with “Buon Viaggio” I paved the way, I think “Lost in the weekend” is the soundtrack of this tour. A tour that will close a chapter that began with “La Teoria dei Colori”, if not “Mondo” (featuring Jovanotti). Then there will be a goodbye, it will take a while until we come back with something new, to get back on ‘fallow’.”
THE UNEDITED
Cesare Cremonini talks about these new songs, born after months of intense work: “I worked on these songs with a huge sense of responsibility.” He explains: “Buon Viaggio wanted to be easy listening but I’ve lost a lot of time. It has a very gentle sound, made from samples that are intertwined, quite refined from a production point of view. He almost wanted to stay singer-songwriter but also modern. It is a love song which speaks of living a moment that is really “in two”. “Lost in the Weekend” instead is a metropolitan portrait. It talks about a multicultural and chaotic vision. “46” is dedicated to Valentino. There is inside all the charm that I feel for the world of motorbikes and the riders. I think that bikers are the real rock stars: living on the edge, the atmosphere is like a festival. It is an environment that I like, it attracts me, it calls my imagination. ”
Four new songs that see the collaboration of Davide Petrella, singer of the Neapolitan group Le Strisce: “I found in him a great partner of dialogue in the songs. It’s like I had a mirror. These songs, like some of Logico, are born from this collaboration, a collaboration between two professional singers, two people who love to write and who join forces. And I like that. ”
THE BOOKLET
The album is accompanied by a booklet where Cesare talks about his emotions before going on stage: “The idea came to my producer. I understand that a concert is not only a two-hour meeting with the public, but a thing that for me begins long before and finishes much later. It is like this for me and for the people who come to see me. As I wake up, I imagine that at the same time there are the guys who wake up with pounding heart like me, that are waiting for this concert for a long time exactly like me. The disc and the live recording have become intertwined until it was almost a single thing today. This booklet is an extra piece of passion, the one that was not in the skin.”
THE PIU’ CHE LOGICO TOUR
Meanwhile, the subtle tension and energy for the new live dates (from 23 October) can already be felt. “It will be the second part of the proceeding tour but with the feeling of not having yet won the game. I have put so much of myself into this new tour and the title is correct: it will be something “more”. I even want to go on stage more than the last time. ”
And for the future? “In four years time it will be twenty years that I do this work. In ten years I would like to do with so many centres of my life together: have other important things besides music. Right now it’s still in a post-adolescent phase in which I hold the disc under the pillow and I look at it when I wake up. Maybe I should get through this phase before getting married, in fact. However for sure I’ll always be in Bologna. There I can have a point of view that is a a little detached, as if I were on a terrace from where I can watch everything, including fashion. It is as if in Bologna I could choose whether to be part of certain fashion or not. In other cities it is not like this.”
