Health: Varese’s chiefs confirmed. An ex-director returns to Busto

The notice comes from the president of Lombardy, Roberto Maroni: confirmed Callisto Bravi for ASST of the lake area (social – health service for the territory) and Paola Lattuada for ATS (National Healthcare System). The new entry is Giuseppe Brazzoli in Busto.

The Region confirms the current chiefs at the head of the Health Service of Varese Province. The only exception is in Busto, where there will be an “old” acquaintance. The President of the Region, Roberto Maroni, announced it during the press release of Saturday morning, the 19th. The new roles will last for three years instead of five, because this is considered an experimental phase.

In Varese Callisto Bravi for ASST of the lake area (Varese) and Paola Lattuada for ATS are confirmed. The new entry is Giuseppe Brazzoli, who is now chief medical officer in Como, and who once was chief of the hospital unit of Busto. Now the unit has changed its name to ASST Valle Olona.

Among those who have been reappointed there is Giuseppe Rossi in the ASST of Lodi, Marco Onofri in the ASST of Como. For Bergamo, there is Carlo Nicora in the ASST of Papa Giovanni XXIII, while in the other Bergamo’s ASST, which has its headquarters in Treviglio there will be Elisabetta Fabbrini, who was the Administrative Director in Busto with Armando Gozzini. Francesco Locati, who is the current chief medical officer of the Varese branch of the National Healthcare System, will be at the head of ASST Bergamo Est (ex Seriate hospital).

“I’m happy that also Paola Lattuada has been confirmed for ATS, so that we can go on with the important team work to launch the territory reform. It will be a delicate phase and we will try and avoid possible inconveniences for the population,” said satisfied the reappointed Bravi.

The new entry Brazzoli: “I’m honored to receive this position. It’ll be a nice challenge in light of the reform that’ll change the mission of the company which is divided between hospital and territory. I’m proud to be able to return to Busto and I’m not worried about the future because I know I’ll find a highly qualified personnel, both in Busto and Gallarate.”

The President of the Region comments with satisfaction the method that was used to choose the positions: “I’m very satisfied with this ‘credit revolution’. We chose the most competent and able people. They were all selected by an external commission, it is the first time that it happens. The health of the people in Lombardy and of all the citizens who choose our facilities to receive treatments is a matter close to my heart. Because of this, I want only the best to lead us, people who were selected because they were worthy, not because of their political preference. Even if the law wasn’t forcing me to, I would chose the new General Directors only from the ‘short list”’ written by an external commission led by the wonderful Head of the ‘Università degli Studi di Milano’, Gianluca Vago, by Cristina Masella, lecturer from the management and engineering faculty in ‘Politecnico di Milano’ and by Francesco longo, lecturer from the ‘Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi di Milano’.
