With spring, you can now get VareseNews on your iPhone
One year after the launch of the new version of our newspaper, there is now a version available for Apple’s popular mobile phone. News, weather, photo galleries and what’s on at the cinemas, all easy to access
Today, the first day of spring, exactly one year since the launch of the new VareseNews version for PC, we are launching another great service: VareseNews for the iPhone.
If you have an iPhone or an iPod Touch, just open up Safari and type in the address www.varesenews.it, and you’ll enter a version designed especially for your Apple product. VareseNews for the iPhone offers you the following services:
- All the latest news from VareseNews, in a format that is simple to page through and read.
- Each week, what’s on at the cinemas throughout the Province and in the film clubs, town by town, or film by film.
- The weather forecast, written up every day by the experts at the Pre-Alpine Centre for Geophysics.
- Photograph galleries, look through all of the photos from the town’s events, also full screen.
- The search engine, giving you access to a full archive of over 12 years of Varese news, available at all times.
- A share function, which allows you to share all of the articles via Facebook or e-mail.
- An integrated e-mail function, so that you can contact the editorial office and send us reports wherever you are.
We hope you like this first version of VareseNews Mobile, and, of course, we look forward to any advice or suggestions. The service is completely free, and is provided through NGI’s Eolo service. The site has been launched in collaboration with Varese’s multi-screen Impero Cinema, and Filmstudio 90, whose film listings can be accessed by iPhone, of course.
If you are not the reading type, but you prefer to listen, we’d like to remind you that the VareseNews podcast has been available, free of charge, from the iTunes Store for some months now, with all of the day’s news in only 150 seconds.
