Elmec among the top 1000, European small and medium-sized businesses

With a turnover of €160 million, over 600 employees and the presence of 5000 specialised technicians in Italy and abroad, Elmec Informatica, the Italian managed service provider of IT services and solutions has been selected as one of the one thousand, European small and medium-sized businesses with high potential for growth, in the London Stock Exchange report, “1000 Companies to Inspire 2016”.
“The report supports the fact that Italian small and medium-sized businesses have been able to make the most of the transformation of the global economy to create more employment and opportunities than the big players in industry,” said Rinaldo Ballerio, the chairman of Elmec Informatica.
This year, the companies selected by the London Stock Exchange have produced about 2400 patents and 1600 registered trademarks, and have generated a total of about 218,000 jobs, recording an average growth of 66% in the workforce in two years, even in countries where the problem of unemployment is alarming. In the report, Italy is in fourth place, after Germany (170), France (150) and the United Kingdom (150), with 110 businesses selected.
The main sectors that the small and medium-sized business that “inspire” the European market belong to are manufacturing and technology (with 255 businesses), followed by food (117) and construction (98).
