The Bodio stilt-house back “in the light”

“Submerged Stories”: a meeting to take stock of five years of research on the stilt house of “Central Bodio” known as “delle Monete”.

 150 years after the discovery of the stilt house, Tuesday, 29th November at 8:30pm there will be a meeting in the public library to help explain what the experts found and the procedure for protecting the structure. During the evening there will be Barbara Grassi and Claudia Mangani of the Archaeological Superintendence of Lombardy.

“The project started with the previous administration and now we have come to the conclusion,” explained the mayor Eleonora Paolelli. “The aim now is to promote the area where it is. ‘Bodio Center’ from 2011 is part of the Unesco heritage sites and it has been inserted in the list of prehistoric pile dwellings around the Alps. It was our duty, to enhance it and promote it. In this intention there will be a meeting arranged for Tuesday, 29th November.”
