The ropeway has changed management and will travel also at nighttime

News for the ropeway that connects the village with the rest of the valley. The cooperative Montagna Domani has been replaced by Valcuvia Servizi and they will run it for the next 5 years. 4 jobs have been saved. The ropeway of Monteviasco has changed management. From 10^th January the service has been guaranteed by the society Valcuvia Servizi instead of the previous cooperative Montagna Domani. Valcuvia Servizi is connected with the mountain community Valli del Verbano and will ensure the running of this facility for the next 5 years. The ropeway, that is situated in Curiglia not far from the locality Piero, connects the village with the wonderful place of Monteviasco, reachable only on foot, following the stepped path or with the historic cableway, that for decades has been ensuring the survival and the use of this area where only a few dozen people live. Also, the workers that were already employed in the Cooperative, will be absorbed by the new society that runs this facility and they are 4.

 The mayor Ambrogio Rossi has announced that lighting work needed to ensure operation at nighttime will be completed soon. This is the essential feature for the operations of the observatory inaugurated last year as evening services were suspended last June.
