Sport and disability: the “movement” is unstoppable.

Today’s live show on Wednesday, had been a great success and there was a large turnout, despite the topic not being one of the “easiest”. In fact, there was talk of disability and integration, starting from the presentation of the 9th "Disabled Sports Gala" to be held on Monday 28 in the former Vela cinema in Sanvito Road , Varese from 20.45.

 

 

A gala, that will feature the excellence of disabled sports, and takes the opportunity to talk about disability. A gala, which each year has a full house: a sign that people are aware of the issue and documented also by questions from our readers.

 

"A Gala that I’ll do for the last time," said Roberto Bof, the first journalist of Rete 55 and now director of the Centro Naturabile in Varallo Pombia, the soul of the disabled sport initiatives in Varese (and more) and star of the main show on TV. Even if the passion he puts into answering the questions promises well,, at least for the rest of his work on the topic: "In reality, this gala should be directed by people and organisations a lot more qualified than me," he said during the 30 minute live chat with readers.

He also specified that the society of Varese is ready for a world suitable for disabled people, how much disabled sport is evolving, and how the sport community and disability can interact.

Roberto drew attention to nine years of the event, playing quietly when there were only 7 disabled sports associations and it became an important movement that has seen institutions and associations open in the area, and today urged others to take up the baton to continue on this path of growth.

The volunteer and leadership experience has allowed Roberto to answer questions from readers on practical issues and problems that currently are deemed insurmountable, such as transport or the involvement of these institutions.
