A lot of visitors to Elmec Solar’s Energy Independence Day
Over one hundred people attended the first Energy Independence Day, the initiative organised by Elmec Solar, which also included a demonstration of Sunpower and Tesla Energy products.

Energy independence is closer than you might think, and today self-consumption can even reach 80% of the energy produced by a photovoltaic system, thanks to the latest generation, photovoltaic-storage combination, in association with correct sizing. This was the case presented to the visitors to the first “Energy Independence Day”, on Saturday morning, organised by Elmec Solar at its premises in Brunello, near Varese. More than 100 people came to the company in Via Pret, on the morning of 29 October (the day when the clocks went back an hour), resulting in a “full house”.
The gathering allowed those present to hear the words of Elmec Solar, Sunpower and Tesla Energy experts, to learn about all of the aspects when considering the current potential of the energy collected by photovoltaic systems. These go from the efficiency of the technology to be installed, to its reliability. From the knowledge of a person’s living situation, to the actual needs of each family, to the importance of tailor-made installation. Indeed, by using the best technologies in systems designed and tailor-made to actual needs, the highest percentages of self-production independent from the network can be achieved.
What is currently available was the topic of talks by experts, and questions from the audience, and was also demonstrated with actual products that were on display; even today, these products can already make a significant contribution to bringing this silent revolution in our lifestyles, to homes and to towns. On display for the public, there were the high efficiency Sunpower panels, the Tesla Powerwall battery and (representing the latest generation of electric mobility) even two Tesla cars.
“For us, this is an essential event on a topic that concerns a truly momentous change in our lifestyles,” Alessandro Villa, the CEO of Elmec Solar, explained. “It’s been a real success and we’re happy about the enthusiasm of everyone present. It’s an experience that we’ll certainly repeat in Brunello, with a second Energy Independence Day, considering the very high demand, and also in other towns in Lombardy.”
