Five workers on a crane to ask for the money that they are entitled to

Protest by five workers that ends at 2.00 p.m. after the mediation of the trade union

Five workers on a crane to ask for the money owed to them. They are 4 Kosovars and a Jordanian employees of "Sabina Earth", a building company based in Brescia, engaged in the construction of the San Quirico enclosures of residences in via San Rocco in Cavaria. They arrived this morning, on Wednesday, from the province of Brescia, where they lived, out of desperation not knowing how to pay the gas and electricity bills.  This morning, March 20, at about 10, they climbed on a crane within the work area with a sheet that says "give us our money."

One of them got off the crane to deal with the Trade Union. Hereafter, even the police and the firefighters came to the place, as well as the mayor of Cavaria Alberto Tovaglieri.

The construction company that was building some blocks with a total of 80 apartments is now facing financial problems due to the bankruptcy of the Castelli company, located in Como, which had subcontracted the subcontract they had been assigned by the San Quirico company of Mariano Comense: the workers have not received their salaries since June, and the construction was halted a few months ago. Another company will probably take over and complete the construction, but it is still uncertain.

At about 2 p.m. the workers came down from the crane, thanks to the intervention of two trade union representatives, who not only convinced them to make a reasonable choice, but also partly unlocked the financial situation, as the liquidator of the Castelli company promised each one of the five workers the amount of €2000.
