The only simulator of the giant fireproof CL-415 in the world is in Malpensa

Where do you learn to pilot those huge fireproof airplanes that we saw flying over our heads while we were putting out the flames on Campo dei Fiori?

From January, the answer will be really easy for us: right here, in Malpensa, near the airport where there is the building of Ansett Aviation Italy, the center that hosts four flight simulators for the training of pilots and bringing them up-to-date.

This is not a common fact, because the one coming to Malpensa will be the only Bombardier CL-415 flight simulator in the world. It is an important fact if we consider that, to this day, 80% of the incidents that occurred with that airplane, happened in the training phase; and if we also add that to make those monsters flight, the government has to pay 8 thousand Euros per hour and that, above all, the cost if one falls down is of 30 million Euros.

Giving these data is the project manager of the operation that brought the simulator to Malpensa, Renato Sacchetti, who also explains how this last particular fact convinced the Australian found to invest 60 million Euros on the territory of Malpensa, giving birth to an excellent center which will attract pilots and airlines from all over the world.
